Joey stumbled clumsily into Laughter Infinity in his disguise. His fake glasses were making it even harder for him to adjust to the dark club. He took in the foreign surroundings through squinting eyes and vaguely heard in the background that a comedian was performing onstage despite the lack of patrons.
Joey quickly stepped up to the bar when he noticed that the bartender was wearing a yellow happy-face pin like the one he had seen outside the bathroom at Chuckles Unlimited. "You know," Joey offered casually to the bartender, "that pin you're wearing sure brightens up the place."
The bartender looked back at Joey stonefaced; he tilted up his chin and broadened his shoulders. "What's that supposed to mean?", he snarled.
Joey stammered, "Uhh…I just meant…umm…where did you get that pin?"
Still stonefaced, the bartender answered, "It's part of my uniform here – all the staff have to wear this yellow thing – well, except for the owner." At the mention of his manager, the bartender's face flickered briefly with a look of disgust.
"This owner - " Joey prodded, "I take it your'e not a big fan of his?"
The burly beaver shifted nervously and said in a low tone, "Well, his club's definitely successful, but working for him…it's a different story - "
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The bartender was interrupted by the sound of fireworks on stage!
