Baab's eyes suddenly widened. "Oh – I must've forgotten it at home! I gotta go – Bill's strict, you know…see you around, Joey," she said flustered. Then she whipped around and headed for the door.
Joey was taken aback by Baab's swift change in behaviour. As he was about to call her back, he abruptly noticed that Baab was missing something else that she normally wore. And suddenly Joey understood how the clues of the case fell into place. With a lump in his throat, Joey called out, "Wait! I think you might've forgotten something else – but I can give it back to you if you tell me why you did it."
